A compassionate approach to meaningful change.

My approach puts you at its centre.

I offer online and in-person psychological support and coaching from rooms in Marlow and Reading, for those aged 18 and above. As a qualified therapist and Counselling Psychologist in my final few months of training, I use a variety of psychological approaches and work collaboratively to develop a therapeutic relationship that suits you. Working with me will feel encouraging, welcoming, compassionate and supportive. We'll work together to consider past or current changes or challenges and consider how these are impacting the here and now and any future direction. Our relationship will be collaborative and the process will put you at its heart, recognising that you're likely to need different things from the therapeutic relationship at different times. What's important to me is that you feel welcomed, acknowledged and included in the therapy and coaching space, no matter your identity or how you define yourself. It should be a space where you can be the most authentic version of you, and feel comfortable sharing your hopes, fears and desires. My job is to facilitate the process using my expertise to support meaningful change.

If a diagnostic label is important to you, we can work with that. However, I'm much more interested in understanding what you're struggling with in the context of your lives and how you’d like things to be different. We are all products of our environment, culture, relationships, the social fabric of society, our histories, the various positions of disadvantage and privilege we hold and the structures and services that govern how we experience the world. I will offer you a space that validates, recognises and appreciates the complexity of these contexts, including your hopes and fears and the challenges that you have faced.

Freedom of expression.

As therapists, we hold a privileged position in hearing your often unspoken thoughts, feelings and experiences. I'm committed to providing a space where you can express yourself freely without fear of judgement. I approach all counselling sessions with the same kindness, compassion and empathy regardless of background or experience.

Recognising your unique circumstances

Recognising your individuality.

I recognise that you will come to me with your own individual challenges and experiences. I commit to acknowledging, appreciating, and respecting the relationships, sociocultural circumstances, and religious and spiritual factors that affect your day-to-day life.

Working together.

I’m invested in helping you change and grow. My therapeutic approach is collaborative: we’ll work together to understand what’s troubling you, what you wish to achieve, and whether I can help. It's vital you have a voice in your counselling journey. If there are things you find challenging about the process, I welcome open dialogue.

Prioritising your experiences.

While I do work with psychological diagnoses, what's most important is your life experiences. I have completed intense and focused training to do what I do. However, you are the expert in your experiences. I'm not here to advise and direct how you move forward. Instead, my training and skills help me gently guide you to elicit positive change, build resilience and support yourself.
