I’m struggling and need support. Can you help?

If you're reading this, the likelihood is you're starting to consider therapy or coaching. You might know what is troubling you and be seeking help specifically to address this; you might have a general sense of dissatisfaction with life, be struggling with overwhelming emotions, wanting to consider a change or new direction or might be feeling completely desensitised to the world. Whatever you’re having difficulty with, I thought it might be helpful to give some details about the types of challenges and life experiences I typically work with.

The reality is my clients tend to have wide-ranging life stories. They will often come to address something specific but, with time, will find themselves exploring other related and unrelated experiences. While some are in psychological distress and are seeking help to alleviate this, others want to contemplate their future and chosen direction in life. Psychological support doesn't always have to be focusing on what's difficult. As time goes by, you may want to focus more on the future, consider your direction and purpose and celebrate your successes.

For ease, and particularly for those engaging in therapy for the first time, I’ve tried to differentiate what you might be navigating aligned to my specific areas of interest. However, the reality is that, in practice, many of these areas and experiences overlap and can't be placed into distinct categories. Please see below an image that details the types of things you might be having difficulty with.

Types of client difficulties I deal with in therapy including grief & loss, neurodivergence, general distress, trauma, abuse and major life stage changes.

If you feel like you might benefit from some psychological support and are or have experienced any of these challenges, feel free to get in touch via my contact page.
